Our Dogfight 3-D Flight Stands (TM) are designed to work well with many scales of miniatures and models.  They work, and look best with 1/300th - 1/72nd scale aircraft, and diecast spacefighter miniatures, but can be used with other scales as well, e.g. 1/48th and 1/600th scale planes, and various sizes of spaceship and spacefighter models too.

All of the aircraft shown on this page are approximately 1/144th scale, so you can get an idea of how they look with our Flight Stands.

The antennae each have a small, rare earth magnet on their swiveling heads, for attachment to your models.  They are sold in matching sets, for your convenience, in order to make setting up your games a breeze.

To use them, you just need to epoxy another magnet onto the bottom of your models, or miniatures, and let the glue dry overnight.  We recommend Liquid Nails, or other similar, strong epoxies.  Make sure to glue the magnets the right side up, when attaching to your models, to prevent disappointment. 

The best way to ensure that, is to attach a small stack of magnets to the end of one of your Flight Stands, and then pull one off at a time, ensuring that the top surface of the magnet is glued to the underside of your model.  If in doubt, re-check the polarity.

We sell the magnets separately for your convenience, since many people need a lot of them for their entire collection.

The magnets provide a secure bond for your aircraft, and are virtually self-mounting, but can be quickly and easily removed.  No other non-magnetic Flight Stand System can boast that feature. 

When coupled with our Flight Stand Altimeter System ©, you can represent 500 - 900 levels of Flight, with a slight adjustment to the height of the antennae, and a twist of the dials. 

Our Flight Stands extend from 7" - 22" in height, and have five sections, or nine half sections.  By combining these with two, ten-sided dials, you get 500 - 900 levels of usable altitude, or enough to represent 50,000 - 90,000 feet, in 100 foot increments.

Still not enough you say?  

Switch to yards, or meters, and you can represent 150,000 - 270,000+ feet of altitude, in 1oo yard, or 100 meter increments. 

Our standard Dogfight 3-D Flight Stands © come with a single dial, for 50 - 90 levels of usable altitude.

The Supplemental Altitude Dials need to be purchased separately, if you want 500 - 900 levels of usable height. 

When using these two dials together to record altitude, we call them our Flight Stand Altimeter System (TM).
